About me

BWY 300H-QUALIFIED YOGA TEACHER

Hello, and welcome! Whether you're already deep into your yoga journey or just starting out, everyone is welcome in my yoga classes.
Yoga is the ultimate Swiss-Army-knife of wellness: it stretches & strengthens the body, calms & focuses the mind, and tends to the soul. Whatever your reason for starting yoga, I offer holistic classes catering to all levels, and hopefully have you leaving the mat feeling a little more in harmony with your body, mind, and spirit.

I am qualified via the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) 15-month, 300-hour Certificate in Teaching Yoga, an Ofqual-recognised course.
My BWY training has foundations in Hatha Yoga, flowing students through staged poses, so that beginners and advanced students alike can practise together, though I also include elements of faster-paced vinyasa, and restorative Yin yoga. I integrate breathwork and relaxation into every class.

FAQs

What to expect from a Dani Harmony yoga class...

Q:

What is yoga?

A:

Yoga is an ancient practise originating in India over 3,000 years ago. It has many different interpretations but is generally considered to be a 'moving meditation', unifying the mind, body, and spirit. Many people start yoga for the physical practise (asana) and stay practising yoga for the wealth of holistic benefits it offers, which incorporates breath, relaxation, strength, and flexibility.

Q:

How can yoga help me?

A:

Yoga can help improve your physical health, as well as your mental and emotional wellbeing. It can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, while also increasing strength, flexibility, and balance.

Q:

What advice do you have for someone new to yoga?

A:

My advice for someone new to yoga is to be patient and gentle with yourself. Remember that yoga is a practice, and it takes time to develop a regular routine. Start with a beginner class and don't be afraid to ask your teacher for guidance and support.

Feel free to send in any other questions using the contact form!

Q:

What can I expect from a Dani Harmony yoga class?

A:

My yoga classes are designed to make anyone feel welcome, no matter their ability or experience level. I emphasise a balanced practice that builds strength and flexibility while also promoting mindfulness. I like to have fun in my classes, too. Remember to leave comparison at the door and focus on your own practice – I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Q:

What should I wear to a yoga class?

A:

I recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you can move in, such as leggings or shorts and a tank top. It's also a good idea to bring layers in case you get cold during savasana.

Q:

What should I bring to a yoga class?

A:

I would recommend that you bring your own yoga mat for both hygiene and comfort reasons. However, the sites I teach at do provide mats for those who do not have their own.

You are also welcome to bring your own props (e.g. belts and blocks) though these are not essential.
